Our class has joined Ms. Garvey, Ms. Batey, Ms. Luke, and Ms. Robinson to complete the task of creating our own Book of Awesome. Students from my class will list their entries below my first entry (which will appear after this post). We will be adding our Awesome stories as a comment. All students please remember to begin your blog post with a TITLE and end your AWESOME writing piece signed ANONYMOUS.

SUPER MARIO MUST RECUSE PRINCESS PEACH!
ReplyDeleteThere’s nothing more satisfying than completing something that you have been working on for an entire day. The sense of accomplishment is unforgettable.
It has been several painstaking hours. I haven’t seen any daylight since yesterday. My eyes are burning but I cannot afford to close them. There is too much at stake!!! The feeling in my fingers begins to turn into a tremor of tingles. I not dare let go of the sweaty, rectangular control box that my hands have been clenching for hours. I might lose my sanity. My death grip tightens around the controller. My eyes squint as I pour all of my attention towards the television. I’m using all my strength to keep on pushing through level after level.
This day started out so peaceful in Level 1. It was simple. All I had to do was find mushrooms to grow bigger, catch a star to become invincible, and eat a flower so that I have the heroic power to throw flaming balls of fire at oncoming enemies. The boxes labelled with question marks left doubt in the gamer. Would I find a Powerful Power-Up or add a coin to my collection instead. Koopas, turtles, and snapping flowers all prevented me from achieving my goal. I must find the perilous Princess Peach and save her from the criminal King Koopa.
As I travel from tube to tube in every level of Mushroom land, I try to add to my collection of lives by collecting more coins and discovering those spotted green mushrooms. As I encounter enemy after enemy and destroy Koopa’s henchmen I also lose many lives in the process and continue at the point where I last finished. Finally, when I am on my last Mario Life, I am met with my final daunting task. Destroy King Koopa and save my dearest Princess Peach. I have been swimming, jumping, flying, and shooting fireballs since I crawled out of bed this morning. I can’t remember if I even had lunch. None of that matters to me now – I am here!
I rub my tired eyes and yawn for what feels like an eternity. Focus! I’ve worked so hard for this. Here we go! I jump through flames and fireballs. Lava is coming up from the ground. I must go above and beyond to stay alive. It takes all my might but I finally encounter my arch nemesis. I look Koopa square in the eyes. The music changes to a dramatic Nintendo-like tempo so that I know that our battle is about to start. We jump and bustle. Fireballs are thrown across the room. I strike him with his first blow from a fireball in my hand. This only tempers him. I am really on my toes now. I have to scatter back and forth across the room to avoid any confrontation. I turn around and throw another flaming ball of impending doom. It hits the King and now he is irate. I am almost there – I need one last detrimental attack. He makes his attack and I jump over him for dear life; I avoid the spikes on the back of his tremendous turtle shell. I turn and face him while he is running in the other direction. I release the fireball. Bounce...bounce...bounce. CRASH! It’s a hit right into the chest of King Koopa. The walls flash, the caves begin to collapse, and Koopa falls to defeat. I fall from the evil lair and I stumble upon the Princess who is more than glad to see me. We return home and the rest is history.
It felt like it would never end. My stomach is growling. The entire day has passed me by. Do I regret it? Never! I won’t forget the day where I beat Super Mario 3 on my last life. It’s like it was destiny.

THE GREAT EXPERIENCE OF A

Its time to hold on for your life!
Strapping into the chair with the cold metal bar across you legs. You know that your in for a high speed exciting ride that you don’t expect. When you hear the operator declare “Enjoy your ride” you know that the ride has started. The faint“ch, ch, ch,” sound has started under the cart. You start to go up, now twenty feet into the air and you know that there is no turning back. The giant drop has come AND DOWN you go screaming as hard as you can with your dry mouth wide open. You finally lose the feeling in your hands from holding on so hard that you let your hand fly in the air with the slicing cold breeze on them. Your stomach has turned upside down so many time from going up and down, all together you have just lost your feeling. Slowly, your eyes start to open. The speed of the cart weakens. You hear the operator state, “welcome back, how was your ride”? You know that you made it through the ride that you were not sure about going on at first. Now it’s time to get off with you legs feeling like jell-O and your mind set to go on the next big ride. You just know that you are in for another big ride of...............AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Getting the Last Copy of a New Video Game
ReplyDeleteThe greatest time of your life is when there is a new video game out! You know you have to get it but their might be one problem: the game could be sold out!
You have been asking your Mom and Dad all day and they say “maybe” then you know you’re in trouble. After they say that, you cool down hoping that they will take you to the store. When they are just sitting down watching TV that’s when you strike You go do all of the chores that you have to do when you do this you increase your chances of getting the game. After you are done all of that you just go relax and watch TV then you what for your parents to say who cleaned up the house. Then you say “I did it” after that your parents say, “We are going to town maybe we can get the game you wanted” So you hop in your car and drive getting your adrenalin pumping. Then your parents say “ok we have to go get some groceries then” all of your confidence goes down the drain but u still have a enough to keep you going . Finally you are there you go in the store then you rush to the video game aisle. You are looking all over then you spot it, you run over to it then grab it when you do that you realize it’s the last copy. That makes it so much better you know you are victorious you are better then all of those chumps. That were asking their Mom and Dad to get the game but you beat them to it its an amazing feeling it feels.

Running The Bases At A Major League Baseball Stadium!!
ReplyDeleteAfter a amazing game of baseball you get to run the bases and meet the real ball players!
This game was by the Toronto Blue Jays and the Boston Red Socks. Also with 3 home runs by Jose Bautista 3 runs, Adam Lind 1 shot homer, Aaron Hill with a 2 liner home run. You get a foul ball hit by Vernon Wells then he hits 2 RBI triple! There was a huge fight to get the foul ball but my dad started yelling at the people because I had the ball first! Anyway lets get to the field no you don’t have to wear cleets but this hear folks this is the aweome moment that a man will ever feel. And I was one of the lucky ones! This felt like I was a Major League Baseball player for the Toronto Blue Jays! And the best part is I got to meet the Major League Baseball players for the Toronto Blue Jays. Some of the players were Vernon Wells, Adam Lind, Aaron Hill. That was the awesome Thing in the world.

Having a pet on your lap
ReplyDeleteIn the morning you go to school dreading a hard day of work. Today just happens to be a day where you have to do a very, very tough math test . The test is about Reflections, Translations and Rotations witch I understand. But it was still hard.. The rest of the day isn’t that bad except for a tiering, exhausting gym period at the end of the day where we played basketball. I HATE basketball. I don’t know why I don’t like it I just don’t. All I know is that I can’t wait to go home to see my cat .
When you finally get home from the short, annoying very , very loud bus ride. I explain to my Mom how horrible my day was. I go into the play room with my brother and we pick out our favorite movie.( Despicable Me). I sit down in the big pink chair and snuggle under the cozy white blanket. The movie is getting to a good part in the movie when MY CAT jumps up the big pink chair to snuggle in a big fluffy ball on my lap. I watch the rest of the movie petting my cat and snacking on popcorn. The movie is over and I am asleep and so is my cat. When you wake up and see that he is still there I get so happy. We are both very happy warm and relaxed. The best part is you can hear and see how happy he is. That feeling alone is enough to make you happy to. There is no better feeling then being then being happy relaxed at the same time. Then he decides that he doesn’t wan`t to be there any more so he jumps of After I my Mom call for dinner. Then all you hear is YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TACO`S FOR DINNER. I start to eat my taco when Dad finally comes home. After Dad and I played a very , very long game of chess. Of corse I lost my dad is way to good. After I went upstairs and got ready for bed. I brushed my teeth combed my hair and walked down the hallway and into my room. I get into my bed and snuggle under my covers with a book. Then my cat jumps up on to my bed and places himself amongst the stuffed animals and falls asleep. THERE IS NO BETTER WAY TO END MY DAY. But to end it with a pet on your lap.

Waking up to a tray of breakfast on your bed
ReplyDeleteYou’ve worked hard last night playing video games with your friends. You’re too exhausted to get up and make your own breakfast... You’re probably too tired to even get up of the bed. You try to lift your head using your pillow as a support beam, you are too tired and are not strong enough at the time, you try again and again until you finally get that lazy head up and see a beautiful platter of warm breakfast that your mom or dad made. Whether you find bacon and eggs, pancakes and sausage, or any other warm, home cooked meal, Whether it’s milk, orange juice, or hot coaco for those cold, wet, winter mornings, You can’t take your eyes off of the plate containing a breakfast meal that can change your day. You enjoy the strong aroma that everyone loves and wants to smell everyday, the smell that you would even enjoy without a nose. Every one enjoys this, but the awesomeness level amps up 10x during the weekend when there is no rush to finish your delicious tray.
You simply cannot, under any circumstances, ignore this plate of gold on the side of your bed. You absolutely HAVE to eat every last scrap of it.
Like I’ve said before, there is NO ignoring this plate of sweet delectable food.
You must be careful, because there are some rules...
RULE 1: Once you have indulged in your breakfast tray, you must return the favor somehow. Do or make something they like, or even make them their own breakfast tray packed with some of their favourite foods.
RULE 2: If you do not follow rule one, You may never receive a tray of any type of food ever again!
RULE 3: Brag about how you have been refreshed with a delicious in-bed breakfast.
RULE 4: Once you are finished your tray, Hop out of bed and continue your day with a delicious breakfast that was...

Making your first friend in kindergarten
ReplyDeleteYou know what I mean: you wake up on very first day of kindergarten so excited but so nervous because you want to fit in and make friends. It could be the hardest thing in the world.
You get in the car with your mom, backpack tight against your back ready to face the tough task of making your very first friend. As you climb in the car thoughts are flying through your mind: what’s it going to be like?, are the people and staff going to be nice? But then your thought get rudely interrupted by your mom asking if your excited so you reply with a very quiet and weary yes. As you drive down the road you see a bunch of kids with their older and younger siblings but then, you stop, turn in the parking lot and get out of the car. Your mom walks you inside to meet your welcoming teacher and principal but as she’s about to leave you turn to give her a big hug, tears swelling in the eyes as you announce “I don’t want to do this mommy.”She gives you a big hug and reply’s with an “it’ll be alright “ and walks away you realize you need to grow up and face your fear then bravely walk onto the playground, over to the swings and see where it takes you. As you look around you hear a little voice utter “hi” and as you turn stop and turn around it’s a little boy your age who’s trying to make friends just like you. You nervously utter hi back and he asks you “do you want to go play?” you get excited and completely forget about how nervous you are and just go with it. You hang out with him at lunch, recess, weekends, and the rest of the year sharing toys and cookies. Then summer comes. He comes over for your birthday parties and grows up along your side for a long time, while still making friends along the way you just know your whole school experience will be...

Waking up on the first day of summer vacation
ReplyDeleteWaking up at 11:30 to the sound of bird’s chirping
and you know it’s going to be the best first day of summer ever.
The day before my entire class had a big going-away party at school to start summer vacation. During the party, all my classmates started throwing all their papers in the white bin and yelled “TAKE THAT, MATH!” My teacher brought chips and pop. She brought cheesy Doritos. Those are pretty-much my favourite but my favourite chips are Barbecue. Everyone emptied out their desks and we watched a movie. I loved watching “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Roderick Rules” because it had no education in it. We all started counting down the last seconds until school was out. “5, 4, 3, 2, 1... Yeah!!”
Everybody was so excited that school was out! We all said goodbye and then ran home to start summer vacation.
Once I walked home, I went and got my friend and we all jumped in my cool pool. My friend jumped on my sister’s pool tube and then fell backwards. I invited my friends inside to play our favourite Xbox game. The game was awesome and I was undefeated. After our game my friend went home and I had breakfast for supper. It felt good! After that, I jumped in bed and fell asleep instantly.
When my alarm went off I hit that snooze bar and I taught it a lesson. No more school until September. This is...AWESOME!
A home cooked meal
ReplyDeleteOh yes right when you come home from school and you tell your parents the things that you did at school and then You lay the mother of all bombs on them you say... “mom im hungry”
then you leave your parents wondering for hours what there going to make for you.
Then they ask “do you want steak , pork chops or even my favorite shisca bobs.”
Oh and the feeding feast can begin the steak is going to be juicy medium rare the shisca bobs will be well cooked there will be mashed potatoes and corn on the cob yummy,yummy.

Spinny Chairs
ReplyDeleteToday you had the worst day in your entire life, you keep tripping every where you spilt stuff all over your new favorite shirt and to top it all off a surprise math test that you never got to study for. Mom exclaimed “if you fail again on your math test you will be grounded ‘till your old enough to drive.”Even your Dad said that your two year old cousin is smarter then you!!!"Right when you got home you run to the computer and you click on your favorite game and all you see is: loading 1% 2% 3% Yes, yes ,yes!!!!! 0% “Nooooooooooooooooo!!” you scream. Oh no!! Now you have nothing to do while your computer game is loading but clean your room, and you do not want to do that unless you’re a clean freak like my sister. Hey this is what I can do while I’m waiting for my game to load. Then a great idea comes to you Spinny Chairs!!!
Now you start to use your legs to go around you go a bit faster and faster and faster ‘till you have a blurry eye sight and you can’t see anything but computer and window light and you close your eyes and pull up your legs on to the chair while its spinning and you put your hand on the lever to make the chair go down. Now all you think about is, “How fast am I going?” or “Will I be able to walk after this fun ride?” and “If I’m going to fall off or not?” All you hear is your self screaming out loud and it feels like the whole world can hear you screaming “WEEEEEEE.” Now I am getting slower and slower and pull the lever so I can go down and until you make a big stop. Now I really sick it feel’s like you just got off of the biggest roller coaster at Canada’s Wonder Land and you feel so dizzy you try to get up but you just fall right back into your chair and you hear the game music la la la la la la la YAHOO your game is finally ready!!

Sitting on the Couch in Comfortable Clothes Watching your Favorite Show.
ReplyDelete“Ahhh” Friday night, on the couch in your most comfortable clothing. I just got a new pair of “pj’s” watching America’s Funniest Home Video. My favorite TV show is the finals. All the best videos of the talking kitty, the dancing dog, and the tumbling people are hillarious. I am Laughing so hard I can’t laugh any more. Covered in the most softest blanket.
They day was so stressful. I had the toughest test ever on the whole semester of math. Then had the longest bus ride really noisy on the way home it was just Friday the best day of the week!, I wanted to rush home. When i get there, my Aunt and Uncle had a surprise visit for dinner. It was a good thing mom made extra lasagna. We get all washed up for dinner with strawberry soap. Mom made lasagna with extra cheese “Mmmm”. I got the biggest piece of all. After dinner, getting ready for bed, I watch a movie of the Three Little Pigs, with my Aunt and Uncle. Then we say are good bye. My sister fell asleep on the chair under her fairyblaket after her chocolate ice cream. I have all night, to myself.
Eating chocolate ice cream or any other flavor. After the best dinner every so quiet. No one is bugging me because my sister finally fell asleep. The smell of lemon dish soap fills the house. My mom is cleaning the dirty dishes plate by plate. Your watching a comedy show, laughing so loud that the plates shake in the kitchen. I started to get a little sleepy. My eyes are starting to close I can’t keep them open, it’s about midnight. Falling asleep in till the next day comes. It truly is called”.

The Little Tornado When You Drain the Bath Tub
ReplyDeleteWhat a long day outside... mud, dirt, sports FUN!!! Now I have to go wash off in the bathtub, but the best part is yet to come.
I turn the squeaky taps on to see a rush of warm water fill up the sparkling white tub, that will soon be a shade of beige! I scramble to get the plug in the hole before to much water escapes! I go get my towel, so that when I get out of the bath I am not freezing cold! I set the towel down, take off my clothes and prepare for the tingling of the warm water hitting the tips of my toes! I let the water run a bit longer as it is running, I put my head under the rush of striking hot water, and feel my hair get heavier and heavier! I flip my wet head up, and reach for the squeaky taps to shut off! I sit in the tub for a moment and just relax, but then look down at my body and realize there is some cleaning to be done. I look around for the body wash and loofa sponge. I find the loofa sponge, pick it up, and feel the rough texture of all the fabric on my hand. I pick up the body wash and flip the lid open to notice there is only enough soap for one last wash. I squeeze the bottle till a trickle of cold substance pours out. I scrub and scrub until all of the dirt is on the sponge! I rinse off the loofa to see a colourful collage of bubbles and dirt!! I once again look around for shampoo and conditioner to wash the strands that rest upon my head . Better yet I find a two-in-one shampoo and conditioner!! This makes the process a lot quicker! I squirt the liquid into my hand and lather my head in shampoo and conditioner. I rub and rub to the top of my roots and back! When I’m done, I turn the taps on and dip my head underneath the water for a warm gush of sweetness but instead IT’S FREEZING COLD!! I pull my head out from underneath the freezing rush of arctic ocean water! I hurry to turn the left tap on so I can have warm water again! After I have the right temperature, I dip my head back underneath the warm welcoming water! I scrub to make sure all the shampoo and conditioner is out of my hair. I finish up in the bath, make sure all the shampoo’s and conditioner’s lids are snapped on tight and are put away where they belong. These are only the opening acts to the main event!!
I reach for the metal ring on top of the plastic plug and pull to hear a glug glug glug then WOOSH.... The water rushes to the drain, and starts to form around the drain. Next thing you know all the water is being sucked into a little tornado!! The water just keeps turning and turning into an endless pit of darkness..... The last few seconds of the little tornado are the best because it’s like a mini science lesson!! Suddenly all the water is gone and I am sitting on pure, cold porcelain. Next time you get stuck in a vortex of water, remember to embrace the moment.

Having the best teacher in the school!
ReplyDeleteSchool starts today you don’t know who your teacher is this year! Your teacher could be the star teacher in the school or be the worst teacher in the school. BUT - in my classroom I have the top teacher in the school. The teacher can be a boy or a girl. My teacher is the best teacher in my school her name is Miss. Deleye She will give you a good mark on a test also she or he will give you and your class a form so you can get hot lunch on Friday. Also your teacher will have to be nice like my teacher. The best part of having the most dazzling teacher in the whole school is that you play the best games that you can. The reason I think my teacher is the best is because she is super nice to me and my class mates. You should help your teacher out if she needs help to do something in the class or after school. Your teacher could be the best teacher in the school or in the world like my teacher Miss. Deleye. She is the best to me. Having the best teacher in the school is a good thing to the students. Teachers are the best because they will let you stay in and they will have a bell that they ring some teachers are the best. It’s how you behave in class and after school behave and you will have the best teacher in the school or in the world. Why is Miss. Deleye the best well she lets you catch up in work. Now it is the end of school and you had the best year ever thanks to your teacher for being the best ever and in my case thank you Miss. Deleye.

Walking On Grass In Bare Feet
ReplyDeleteYour calling your friend to see if they want to come over for the day and YAY they can but they wont be there for a half an hour, so you are thinking what are you going to do while you wait for them to come and then a great Idea comes to you. you can walk on the grass in bare feet. Then you remember that your dad had cut the grass the night before .
As you walk on the freshly cut grass after you have set out a blanket on the lawn for you to lay down on, you might feel the squishy mud from last nights rain fall or the sharp pieces of glass from the next door neighbors party. With loud music and lots of people there, there’s got to be a few sharp pieces smashed on the ground . The freshly cut grass tickling your back as you look at the different clouds trying to find as many different looking ones as you can in the sky with your friends. With the green grass all around you, you know there is no better feeling then walking on the freshly cut grass.

Sucking in helium
ReplyDeleteYou know the happy birthday song well than you also know the balloons floating in the air. strange mouse sound when you suck in that weird awful tasting helium . You try to laugh but you can’t here it because you are laughing so intense its silent .
Ring ring ring the bell just rang on the Friday of the party all my friends walk home with me and we talk about what were going to do at the party but nothing is mentioned about balloons.so we are under pressure about what im going to buy him but I havant even thought about it... I thought about balloons for a bit but I thought they all ready had some...
Im going to wal mart to get him something I think im going to get him a new video game but I don’t know I think I will because were in a hurry. But when we got there I was standing there for a bit just thinking.
All I no so far is that we will have lots of MONSTERS the killers
ones my favorite ones but were going to sleep at like 6 in the morning its sort of like when my friends
ITS 4 o clock were going to the party now I walk in the door I think oh my gosh balloons there’s like 40 balloons full of helium we wait and wait for the rest of them then at like 410 they finally get here it seems like a hour.
We pop Those balloons and suck suck suck we all say I don’t think it works but in the most high pitched sound in the world every one laughs so hard and they try but were all laughing in that high pitched sound.

You Going Down a Dark Water Slide!!!!
ReplyDeleteI’m feeling scared and I do not know if I can do it.
I walk up all the steps past the kitty slide and the little slide. I go past many more. All the way to the top! I at the top of a dark water slide I’m hearing screams and more your getting scared but you said,“I was going to go down no matter what”, I sit down on the tube and before you can say no you get pushed down! I scream ,and before you know it I splash onto the top of the water at the bottom of the slide I swim with your tube out of the way from the other sliders and say to your parents “Lets do that again!” I run all the way to the top your really tired when you get to the top. Then I wait your turn and then finally its my time to shine you sit down and WEEEEE down the slide I go filled with joy and a great smile on my face!!!!!!!!!

The Smell Of Ice In a Hockey Arena!
ReplyDeleteDon’t you love the freshly made ice in the hockey arena? Well to me it’s the best smell in the world. Whether it’s a 6 am practice or a late game the smell of the ice fills the air. I am woken up by my dad around 5:00 AM still half asleep getting a bowl of cereal. When I’m done I slip on my clothes, shoes, and coat and maybe a toque if im not in a hurry. Walking to the car with my bag. Putting your bag in the car is easy once you get use to it. Putting the bag in the back of the car, then waiting for my dad to bring the sticks. Starting the car (waiting for it to warming it up). Finally my dad comes, now we can drive to the arena. From my point of view the arena is right up the road so I just have to drive two blocks then im there. Whenever I have a 6am practice ,when I am still half asleep ill always smell that wonderful hockey smell, it will always wake me right up. So next time you go to your local hockey arena just take a big whiff of that freshly made ice, once it goes through your nostrils you will say AWESOME!!!!!
Getting the Last Ice Cream Before The Parlor Closes.
ReplyDeleteYou have finished all your chores for the day and you are extremely hot, the kind of hot that can only be cured by a refreshing cone from the ice cream parlor. You beg your parents for some money. When they finally give in you realize you have five minutes before the ice cream parlor closes. It is a hot summer day, and you must run to get that creamy cone you’ve been waiting for. One minute left and its in sight. VICTORY! You made it in just in time.
The kind faced, bearded man at the counter says “ your my last costumer , what would you like?” You order a luscious chocolate cone with astonishing star shaped sprinkles, it’s your all time favourite . As he turns around to make your order you can’t help but feel proud that you made it just in time. He hands you the in creditable cone and you take the first lick of the delicious, cold treat and it melts in your mouth you pay the man with the cash your parents said you deserved for doing such a awesome job on your chores and leave the parlor with a huge grin on your face and it starts to melt and the brain freeze starts to set in. You can almost feel it rotting your teeth and making the dental bill go up form filling. You wonder what your friends and family will think of you adventure to get what might be the best ice cream you ever had. But they won’t find out until the sugar rush is gone. As you take that last bite of the cone and here that crunch of the cone and taste the last few drops of ice cream you relies this day is the best day ever.

When Your Favourite Team Wins The Stanley Cup
ReplyDeleteIt’s Game 7 in the final game of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. It’s overtime, when it only takes one goal to take home the gold. The pressure is heart pounding, the excitement is breath-taking - and then it happens ... That puck goes into the net!
Imagine: 8:00pm is when your favourite team plays game 7. I have all my friends over to witness the final of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. With all the lights off, I grab a soda and some popcorn, slip on that Jersey and enjoy the magic.
I hear the crowd scream wildly, chanting for their team to score. Hearing that good ol’ whistle giving penalties is and calling icing when the puck had been dumped into the other teams zone and when the goalie freezes the puck which leads to a face off in their end . Canadians having a blast with a Molson Canadian and popcorn. Sticks are clashing , skates are scraping against the clean fresh smelling ice seeing the mark left behind from the sharp turn. Goalie masks with their team logo are specially designed . The other team’s captain gets a misconduct for unsportsmanlike with the ref and the other team which makes the captain’s teammates and fans upset with the call but still not enough to make the other team give up. Then it happens. You’re all excited and then the third period ends with the buzzer shocking everyone .
In overtime is the most heart pounding thing ever. It only takes one second for that puck to slip quickly inside that net and when that happens your either depressed and upset or Off The Walls ! But then after the pressure and all the heart pounding action it happens... That puck goes into the away teams net and fans go Bizarre !!!!!! I Immediately just out of my seat and scream VICTORY and yell outside my front door for the whole neighbourhood to hear “CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS 2010 STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS !!!” And me and my friends gather and crack open that fresh Coca Cola the proud sponsor of the 2010 Stanley Cup Playoffs and be so thankful we can say our team is The Stanley Cup Champions

Jumping into a pool after a scorching hot day
ReplyDeleteThe intense sun beating on my back in the middle of July. A ice cold bottle of Gatorade on the ground, Knocking over my white shoe’s as the black soccer ball rolls into one of my friends net. Knowing the games finally over, as I walk into my front door
already to go into the refreshing pool and play a game of Marco Polo with my friends. The first jump into the cold pool is always the most outstanding , look out Cannon ball time ! Hearing the wet water smashing onto the green lush grass, as I jump into the air and land far into the cold water as it wipe’s away all my sweat and replaces it with relief, and at the same time I knowing most of my friends are at the muddy dirty beach. My mom bringing out a cold glass of lemonade and a clean white towel without asking her to. Then Jumping out of the pool onto your boiling hot black trampoline drying the wetness off my feet. Then doing a gigantic jump back into the pool. I Look up to see someone in my family tanning and not telling them they forgot to take off their sunglasses. Funny for me but embarrassing for them. Yes !! got the next Christmas card. I get up onto the diving board and press down on it and blast high into the air. I dive into the clean sparkling water. Tasting the cloreane on my tongue and looking through my foggy goggles.. I push the water back with my arms and twirl in the water. The shallow end. I grab the floaties. The best thing there is to do in a pool is grabbing a bunch of floaties and lining them up when there’s no wind at all, and doing high jump or long jump. There is nothing better then hanging in the pool with some friends.
